Day 36: 9/6/10

Happy Labor day, Everybody! It's kind of ironic that today is the day I go back to blogging, isn't it? Did that make any sense? Hmm... Well it did to me! Anyways, here's the things you've missed- A week or two after I stopped blogging I had 3 birthday parties (one being my own); then I spent the end of summer break with my friends... Then it ended. And school started! At least I have good teachers, and friends to help me through it! Oh, speaking of which, I have to read 5 chapters of To Kill a Mockingbird tonight, so I'm gonna have to hurry this up! Anyways here's today: I woke up. Sneezed. Coughed. Said to myself "Dangit! I'm Sick!" So I spent the day mainly in my room with a pile of used tissues next to me. Finally I brought myself to do something, instead of just laying around being sick. So I listened to last weeks "Sound Opinions" and found my new fave band Wye Oak, I'm listening to them right now! Then I took some DayQuil and started going on a yahoo answers marathon, alongside Turtle. I'm only 26 points away from level two! I really liked answering the questions, I felt like I was helping them- or at least entertaining myself! Then I put the Wye Oak album "The Knot" on my iPod and left it to charge while I went downstairs to eat these EXTREMELY delicious ribs for dinner! They tasted sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good! Uh-oh! Already 9:35! Better Hurry! So anyway I went back upstairs, answered more questions, watched Signs with my mom, took a shower, took more DayQuil, Grabbed To Kill a Mockingbird, got bored, grabbed my computer, and here I am now! Oh! And practiced guitar! Thats about it! So here's my song!

Bedridden

Open up your eyes,
Then you realize,
With a sudden Cough,
You ain't gonna Blast off.

You stretch anyways,
Like any other days.
You try to stand,
But soon see that you cant.

Get uuuuuuuused to it!
This is hooooooow it is!
Not gonna change,
There's no exchange!

Bedridden,
Bed-
Bed-
Bedridden!

You lay back down,
With a big Ol' Frown,
You blow your nose,
Even louder then the sparrows
Out side your windows.

And your life just sucks!
Cuz your in a muck!
And it just wont end!
And your STUCK IN BED!

Bedridden,
Bed-
Bed-
Bedridden!

And things get good,
And it's understood,
And you help 'em out,
Without a doubt.

And it feels fine,
Cuz their advice is mine,
And you start to smile,
And you're all freestyle!

Bedridden
Bed

Bed

Bed

Ridden!

Day 35: 7/28/10

Today was exceptionally boring, except I found some songs I'd written a while back. Here are one of them:

Parting Time

Get me out, I want to leave.
Let me go, I need to fly!
I have a dream-
So many goals to achieve.
So don't be sad, but it's time to say gooooooodbye!

In my craziest fantasies,
I was lonely and lost,
And it came at a cost,
Did you know it was my heart you tossed,
awaaaaaay?

You hurt me once before,
I can't take it anymore!
So please don't cry-
Cuz it's time to say goodbyeeee!

Don't lock me in.
Don't clip my wings.
Don't give up on my hopes and dreams.
Don't be sad but-
It's time to say goooooodbyeeee!

(instrumental break)

(repeat verse 1)

(repeat verse 2)

It's time to say goooooooodbye!
Oooooooh! It's time to sa-ay-
Goooooood byeeeeee!

(p.s. i'm gonna take a little vacation sooo, buh bye for now!)

*BELATED* Day 35: 7/27/10

I had an equally strange dream this night. It was about aliens. And those crazy skaters that wear ridiculous close- like male-skinny jeans! Eeew! Any way their were a bunch of them only they had on those astronaught helmets and they were zombie walking and attacking the village! I knew they were aliens. It seemed common knowledge in my dream. It was awfully scary then but thinking about it now I can't help but giggle at it. Anyhow here's what happened that day. I spent the day at the Museum of science and industry with my dad. Our membership was about to expire and his teachy senses kicked in. "Go take the girl to an educational place while it's still free! You don't want to have to pay for the museum, do you?" His teachy senses were appealing to his money senses so he now had to senses going for the museum! So, of course, we went. And it was actually pretty fun! The first thing we did was go to the science of storms exhibit. We spent a while on the first floor then went up to the second floor of the exhibit. From there we went to the You! The exhibit, thing. That was pretty fun! There was a test on there where you put your chin on a chinrest so your eyes are perfectly level. Then they ask you to count how many times a jumper lands on the red plane. I got that one right but the following question, I failed miserably! It said: "Did you notice the dragon?" I did not. I put all my attention on the task at hand and completely overlooked that poor flying reptile! Then their was this thing where there are two people and you put on a headband it measures how relaxed you are, and there's a ball in the middle, the object of the game is to push the ball away from you and into a painted circle by your opponent. You move the ball by relaxing. I played against my dad, and apparently it was an epic battle. I didnt watch. I sat with my head on the tabe tucked into my arms with my eyes closed and taking deep breaths. At one point I got extrememly distracted, I was singing in my head and giggling. There is a brain moniter that looks like a line graph. At that moment when I was giggling and going a little crazy in my head, my line went off the charts! My dad won. Oh, well. Then after alot more exhibits it was time to go home- that is the gift shop! I bought two smencils and then went home and back to doing nothing! It was a good day. So here's my song.

Go

It's gonna be lame.
It's gonna be dumb.
It's gonna be no fun.
I don't wanna go-o-o!

I'd rather stay home.
I'd rather make earrings.
I'd rather not go!
Please! I'd rather not go-o-o!

This is so dumb.
I wanna disappear.
I wanna jump outta the car.
Anything, but go-o-o!

(Spoken:)
Uuuuuuuuuuuuugggggghh!
Hmm...
This is actually pretty-
Oh wow!
Huh.
Well, who'd-a-thunk-it?
Golly!
hmm...

(Sung:)
Well wat do you know?
Well, golly me!
Time to go back.
I don't wanna go-o-o!

That cheapskate sure-
Knew what he was talkin' 'bout!
Shoulda listened.
To think I didn't wanna go-o-o!

I don't wanna go-o-o
baaaaaaaaack!

*BELATED* Day 34: 7/26/10

I had the WIERDEST dream of my life monday night! I dreamed that my family and I had gone out to breakfast and then went to see a movie, then when we got back their were these wierd devices that looked like those drag racing cars, only a LOT skinnier. There were also ramps that lay on the snow covered street, which is weird cuz it's summer! Any way, when we got near the house we saw my brother, checking the mail. This was impossible because my brother was standing next to us looking nervous. He was in two places at once. We soon find out that these red skinny race cars are time-machines. No one knew where they came from or why they were here, they simply appeared- On every single street! To use them u drive them down the ramp, then they look as though they are spinning out of control but that is actually what is supposed to happen. Green sparks should start to fash and then the car disappears, or transports. I was confused at it all. So I go over to a friends house (I'm not sure which one since throughout the dream she keeps changing into different friends of mine) She says she hasn't gone into the time machine yet, and she plans to avoid it. "Why?" I ask her "Seems like one hell of a good time to me! I always wanted to know what my future would be like. Who do you think I marry? What job do I have?" She tells me "Well, everyone who came back, came back a little... Differently." She says the word differently like it's a question. Like she's not sure. But I am. "You're crazy!"
"No I'm not! Think about it, Paloma, It's like they've been zombie-fied!" I thought about it and she was right. They al seemed a bit stiffer, a bit... Emotionless. Eeeee! I just got a shiver down my back! It seems eerie to me- remembering dreams, talking about them. It creeps me out, though I have no idea why! Anyway. Then we went to the movies, it was some space movie at first then we left. When I got home my dad was confronting my brother. "Did you use the time machine?" He asked. My brother was silent. "It's all right if you did!" He goes on. Then I wake up to my father going into my room, turning off my beloved a/c and opening my windows at 3 A.M.! The rest of the morning I lay awake listening to the crickets screaming at me-"Stay awake! We won't let you sleep! So stop fighting it and just stay awake! STAY AWAKE!" It was soooo annoying and I never fell back asleep and the rest of the day was a groggy, sleepy blur. So here's the song:

Like Fiction

Don't open those eyes,
Or you'll miss out on a great surprise!
While you were sleeping a world was built!
Like fiction,
Like fantasy!

Suddenly everythings different!
Though to you,
It's exactly the same as always.
Like fiction,
Like fantasy!

This is your world,
This is your life,
Or that's what you think at least.
Like fiction,
Like fantasy!

Everything's so fantastic!
Everything absolutely insane!
But to you are used to it by now.
Like fiction,
Like fantasy!

Is it a dream?
Can you separate it from-
Reality?
Like fiction,
Like fantasy!

People are changing!
Everything is transforming!
Do you even notice?
Like fiction,
Like fantasy!

It's just a dream!
Like fiction!
None of it's real!
Like fantasy!
It's only a dream!
It's only just a dream!
It's all in your mind!
It's all a dream!
Liiiiiiiiike fiction!

*BELATED* Day 33: 7/24/10

Ahhh, how nice it is to be back! Taking sundays off was the best decision of my life- not that I don't love all of you readers, don't get me wrong, it's just... Sometimes I need a break! Anyways, here's what happened on Saturday. It had rained all of the previous night- stormed, actually! There was MAJOR flooding all over the place- so much that they shut down the expressway! It was TERRIBLE weather for driving, but alas, I had my first lesson with a brand new teacher (my old one moved to California). So we drove over there and, surprisingly, there was no sign that it had even rained! Anyway, the lesson went quite swell! We did a lot of exorcises and scales and all of that jazz. So soon enough the lesson ended, and we went on our way- to the brown cow ice cream parlor. I had a chocolate peanut butter flavor, verrrrrrrrrrrry guuuuud! Then we headed to Michael's- BIG mistake! As soon as we got a mile or two away from the Brown Cow, the effects of the storm began to present themselves. All the yards and some of the streets we passed had turned into rivers, I felt like I lived in Venice- you know, where they have like rivers for streets? Well, that's what it looked like. However, the whole Venice-y style was not very good for those traveling by car instead of canoe. All the traffic lights had went out and the traffic was consequentially unbearable! So we drove, and waited, then drove again, then waited again and so on and so on until we got to the Michael's, and Golly, It was really empty! So I bought some cool beads and when I got home I made to sets of jewelery. I call the first one, a necklace which consists of pink circular shells, sparkly cylindrical pink seed beads, and gorgeous metal flowers and a matching pair of earings, my "Beach Princess" set. I call the other one, a blacelet made of memory wire so that it coils around the wrist which consists of metallic checkered beads, two glossy metal spheres, purple and silver seed beads, and metallic black stars, and a matching set of earrings, my "Disco Diva" set. Aren't I creative? Hee, hee! So now heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere's the Soooooooong!

Not For Me

Sketching fashion models,
Making Jewelery!
Writing dialogues for someone-
Not for meee!

Living my own life,
Following no one else.
The whole going with the flow thing-
It's not for meee!

Listening to indie music,
Watching unpopular shows!
Giving into what every one else likes-
That's not for meee!

Who am I?
That weird girl!
Writing songs for someone else-
Not for meee!

I'm gonna be somebody,
I'm gonna be free.
Hiding from the rest of the world-
That's not for meee!

Googling my name and dreaming,
One day I'll be famous and
Google-ableeeee!
Dreaming is not for meee!

If dreaming was then would I be a doer???
If dreaming were for meee!
If I let myself believe-
Not for meee!

Not for meee!
Not for-
Not for-
Not for-
Meeeeeeeee.

*BELATED* Day 33: 7/23/10

Oh, it was a fun day yesterday! I spent the majority of it with Turtle. In the morning I woke up and went on my computer, I chatted with Turtle and we decided to see Toy Story 3 and so, we did. We saw it in 3-D and I got all teared up at the end- It's soooo sad! So then after the movie, we weren't ready to go yet so we spent the rest of our time going store to store. We went to borders first, unfortunately everything there costs at least $1,000,000, and I only had around 4 or 5... It was quite sad really. So then we ventured onto Claire's, we put our money together and bought some hair thingies and REALLY cute earrings! ^_^ So... now I owe her 10 dollars.. :(- moving on, after that we went to Old Navy where she bought flip flops and I was broke! So, then we got a lift and went on our ways. It was fun. So, that's about it. Sooooooooo, here's my song!

Only a Day

Living and laughing-
Being with friends.
Going places,
Spendin money!

Watchin movies,
Cryin'-
Totally, Freeeeakin out!
Being the only one clappin; at the eeeeeend!

Awkward moments,
Lively moments,
Joyous moments,
Moments you'll never forgeeeeeeet!

All of this,
All of this,
All of this,
Only a daaaaaaay!

Forget your worries,
Abandon your stress.
Just relax-
Just liiiiiiiiive!

You can worry-
You can cry-
Or simply,
Just liiiiiiiive!

All of this,
All of this,
All of this,
Only a daaaaaaay.

It's all there-
Only a daaaaaaay.
It all fits-
Only a daaaaaaay.

Only a daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

Day 32: 7/22/10

I'm getting this over with earlier today. So here's what you missed: I woke up feeling like a million bucks, so i went to the bathroom where i discovered there was no toilet paper! So, five minutes of screaming for help later my father came to my rescue with a new roll that he threw at me. Then I made another To-do list (I know it's such a cliche and seems quite pointless but it really works!), so I made my bed and further cleaned my room, gave my dog a manicure, gave my dog a massage, made my dog a gourmet meal, OH GOTTA PEE! BRB! Okay, I'm back. Haha! Srry, I'm watching the Simpsons Movie. Okay, anyway. I pretty much pampered my dog, spoiling him and every thing. Know what? I gotta work out in a little bit so I'll end with that and get straight to the song. Okay, here it is:

Teddy

I'd do anything for you!
I love you,
Honey, sweetie,
Teddy!

I'd climb mountains for you!
I'd swim rivers for you!
I love you, darling-
Teddy!

Oh, sweet!
Oh, my Teddy!
Oh, Hon!
Oh, my Teddy!

Oh, joy!
Oh, my Teddy!
Oh, dear!
Oh, my Teddy!

Oh, sweet!
Oh, my Teddy!
Oh, Hon!
Oh, my Teddy!

Teddy teddy!
Teddddyy!!!!!
